Welcome to Stuyville marks the third collaborative project between Brooklyn-based emcees Eddie Kaine and Rim, who have slowly but surely made their mark in the underground rap scene. Coming off the heels of their previous works, BK Caminates (2020) and Meta EP (2022), this effort shows more promise, thanks to a tighter focus, improved production from Camoflauge Monk and 38 Spesh, and stronger overall chemistry. While this release may not be a game-changer, it undeniably establishes Stuyville as a much more confident project, pushing the duo into the conversation for 2023's standout underground releases.
